Memphis, Tenn. - A big problem in Memphis shows signs of improvement, according to the Memphis Police Department.

Last week, FOX13 told you about the possibility of extra federal resources, including the National Guard, to help protect millions of dollars' worth of cargo that moves through Memphis daily.

Cargonet, a company that tracks and reports cargo thefts, said Memphis was ranked third in the country for that crime. By the start of summer, the Bluff City was ranked fourth. Memphis Police have said the number of thefts is dropping significantly.
