NORFOLK, Va. — We have our eighth named storm of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season.
Tropical Storm Humberto has formed to the northeast of the Caribbean, 500 miles north of the Leeward Islands, and is moving to the west-northwest at 12 mph with max sustained winds of 405mph.
Humberto will continue to strengthen as we get into the weekend, becoming a major hurricane by Sunday afternoon, and continuing to strengthen by next week. Humberto is expected to curve out to sea by the middle and end of next week, but we can still expect rough surf and high rip current risks around the region.
