NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — One person is being treated for minor injuries after a three-vehicle hit-and-run crash.
The crash happened at 9:53 p.m. Wednesday near the J. Clyde Morris Boulevard exit, Sgt. Michelle Anaya with the Virginia State Police said.
The hit-and-run caused a Nissan Altima to become fully engulfed in flames. All occupants were able to get out of the car safely; one of them was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
All westbound lanes were shut down as of 10:15 p.m. Two left lanes have since reopened, and only the acceleration/deceleration lane and the exit ramp for exit 258B are closed as of 11 p.m.
