PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – After the United States Department of Justice sent a request for Washington voter data earlier in September, Washington Secretary of State Steve Hobbs has agreed to send some public information on voters, Hobbs announced Tuesday.

Hobbs’ agreement to share some data comes after the DOJ sent a letter to the Secretary of State on September 8, asking for Washington’s voter registration list.

In response, Hobbs stated he would only provide publicly available information as permitted under state law. This information includes the registered voter’s name, address, year of birth and voting history.
