EBENSBURG, Pa. (WTAJ) — A South Fork murder suspect was back in court Wednesday.
Austin Kline is accused of killing Richard Morgan, of Altoona, after hiring him to help do excavation work back in 2023. Morgan's body was later found in a shed on the property. He died from being shot multiple times.
After a long battle with the courts, Kline was appointed a new attorney Monday following previous claims his old attorney was connected to the victim, although those claims were deemed unfounded by the courts.
Kline's new attorney, Timothy Burns, said he hopes a trial can be scheduled soon after the new year, but that decision will be based on any motions filed after he reviews the case.
Kline is scheduled for another status hearing in October to determine whether or not trial dates can be se
