BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Four people from the Los Angeles area were arrested in Tehachapi Wednesday morning on suspicion of stealing over $200,000 worth of electronic devices, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.

On Wednesday at around 7 a.m., deputies assigned to the Tehachapi substation responded to a suspicious vehicle seen driving on Tehachapi Boulevard with two people in the cargo area of a box truck, according to KCSO.

Deputies found the box truck traveling near Tehachapi Boulevard and Tucker Road, according to officials. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the truck.

Phillip Lomeli, 27, was allegedly driving the truck with a suspended license. Veanessa Alfaro, 32, was the front passenger and was found to have a warrant.
