BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Nahaman Bucato knew about his estranged wife's relationship with a co-worker at Taft City School District. Their children knew too.

But on Sept. 13 she told Bucato she was officially dating the other man, according to court documents.

Two days later, Bucato armed himself and entered the man's home on Phillipine Street in the early morning, investigators say in the documents, which were released Wednesday.

He found his wife and her lover asleep on a couch.

Bucato fired multiple shots, striking the man in the chest and head, killing him, according to the documents.

The wife was startled awake. She told investigators Bucato said something along the lines of, "I f------ warned you."

He told her to get dressed, she said, then he called 911.
