Rain has delayed the scheduled 6:40 p.m. ET first pitch of the Sept. 24 MLB game between the Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Guardians.

Storms passing through Cleveland have pushed the start of the Wednesday, Sept. 24 game back to 7:15 p.m., according to Detroit Free Press reporter Evan Petzold.

The game is the second in a three-game series at Progressive Field. Right-hander Jack Flaherty is scheduled to start for the Tigers, while righty Tanner Bibee is set to start for the Guardians.

The Tigers, who at one point had a commanding lead in the AL Central, have lost seven consecutive games to slide to 85-72. Meanwhile, the Guardians have surged to equal the Tigers' record and hold a head-to-head tiebreaker for the divisional pennant.
