CLEVELAND, Ohio — Rainy weather downtown has delayed the start of Wednesday’s Guardians vs. Tigers game at Progressive Field.

Light rain was falling at the ballpark at 6 p.m. as the tarp remained on the field and a few fans in rain gear sat in their seats.

Originally scheduled for a 6:40 p.m. first pitch, Game 2 of Cleveland’s three-game series against the Tigers could be a pivotal moment in the race for the American League Central Division crown.
