Hilton discussed his economic policy proposals with The Sun for a podcast interview on Sunrise FM, among other topics.

The big picture: The former Fox News host and British government advisor is proposing a major shift in California’s tax policy. • Hilton’s plan would cut all state taxes on all income up to $100,000. All income above $100,000 would be taxed at a flat 7.5% rate. • The plan would lead to an 18.5% reduction in state revenue. In order to compensate for that loss, Hilton would seek to cut state spending by roughly $60 billion.
