The Barrington High School football team bounced back from a slow start to defeat Burrillville 21-14 on Saturday, Sept. 20.

The Broncos shredded the Eagles’ defense in the first quarter and opened up a 14-0 lead, said Barrington High School Coach Sandy Gorham.

“They threw the ball on us very well. We had a hard time covering guys,” Gorham said.

Meanwhile, Barrington’s offense struggled to move the ball on the ground. A shifting defensive front by the Broncos spelled trouble for the visiting Eagles.

“We pretty much abandoned the run game (after the first quarter) and went to our empty set,” Gorham said.
