Geelong forward Jack Martin will carry a monkey on his back into the AFL grand final, one he fears he might never be able to shake.

Cut down by persistent injuries in recent seasons, the former Gold Coast and Carlton talent has had to rebuild his body and mind to revive a career he thought about giving away.
