LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) -- A verdict was handed down for a Lancaster County man on trial for stabbing his father, court documents show.

Russell Adams-Nicholls, 45, of Willow Street, was found guilty Sept. 12 of aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person, according to online court records. He was found not guilty on an attempted murder charge.

Court records show Adams-Nicholls is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 17.

Adams-Nicholls stabbed his father in the neck, the criminal complaint filed by Manheim Township Police shows. Afterward, the dad was able to drive himself to the hospital for life-saving surgery due to his blood loss. The dad told nurses he was stabbed by his son.
