DE PERE, Wis. (WBAY) - A multi-million dollar project is underway in De Pere.

White Pillars Museum, the oldest building in the city, is undergoing a major renovation and expansion.

At the corner of N. Broadway and Cass streets, excitement is building for the expansion of the iconic White Pillars Museum.

“This is the original portion, the front room,” McKim Boyd, president of the De Pere Historical Society shows us during a tour of the renovations.

“They’re prepping the base of the building to get ready to place inside of the new building.”

Boyd is watching a vision come together.

“It’s exciting. A little nervous, because you’re never sure how it’s all going to turn out.”

He has deep pride in preserving this historic building.
