ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A manhunt is underway in Cherokee County for a suspect who ran away following a police chase on Wednesday, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies are searching for the suspect, believed to be 23-year-old Joshua Jonathan Joseph, after he allegedly fled on foot following the chase on Rampley Trail near Patriot Trail, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office said.

The suspect is described as 6 feet, 1 inch tall and 160 pounds.

He was wearing a white shirt and black shorts, and was last seen near Sam Nelson Road.

The sheriff’s office did not provide details on the police pursuit.
