Tasmania’s southwest has been hit by a magnitude 4.1 earthquake in the early hours of the morning.

Geoscience Australia reported the incident struck at 6.38am on Thursday at a depth of 14km in a jolt felt from Maydena to Hobart.

No damage has yet been reported.
