WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- A former District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) vendor is facing up to 15 years in prison after being found guilty Tuesday of bribery and wire fraud charges, according to the United States District Attorney's Office (USAO) for the District of Columbia.

Yelake Meseretu, 41, was found guilty after a four-and-a-half-day trial on charges of conspiracy to violate federal law, bribery, and honest services wire fraud.

According to court documents, Meseretu was the owner of U.S. Office Solutions, an office goods and janitorial supply company that reportedly earned millions of dollars per year through business with DCPS.
