BIG FLATS, N.Y. (WENY) -- An electronics recycling event will be held in Big Flats on Saturday, Sept. 27.

It is happening at the Big Flats Parking Lot located at 271 County Route 64. The recycling event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Accepted items include computers, televisions, cell phones, cameras, video game consoles, printers and other electronics. Organizers will not collect devices containing freon, paint, bulbs or batteries.

It is free for area residents.

Those with electronics to recycle are asked to preregister for the event. You can do so by clicking here .

The event is being put on by State Senator Tom O’Mara, Assemblyman Chris Friend and Assemblyman Phil Palmesano, in partnership with Sunnking.
