George Washington’s girls soccer team moved within one victory of a perfect slate in Mountain State Athletic Conference play on Tuesday night with a 1-0 victory over Hurricane in Charleston.

Mia Lough tallied for the Patriots (11-2-1, 8-0 MSAC) in the first 10 minutes on Elizabeth Blanchard’s assist for the game’s lone goal.

Hurricane dropped to 8-3-1 and 6-1 in MSAC play.

George Washington’s lone remaining regular-season league game is at Capital on Thursday. Hurricane has dates left with Parkersburg, which also has just one league loss, on Thursday and Cabell Midland on Tuesday.
