More than four months after going to the polls, Liberal candidate and Sussan Ley backer Gisele Kapterian has finally accepted defeat in the Federal seat of Bradfield, abandoning plans to further challenge the count.
Ms Kapterian has been seeking an adjudication from the Court of Disputed Returns after two results declared two different winners in the seat on Sydney’s North Shores.
Instead, the seat was called for Independent MP Nicolette Boele in June, with the Australian Electoral Commission confirming she won by 26 votes.
On Thursday, 145 days after the Federal election held on May 3, Ms Kapterian accepted that she lost the race.
