Footage has emerged of a horrific machete brawl at a busy shopping centre in Melbourne’s north.

Two groups comprising a total of at least five males began fighting each other in the carpark of Broadmeadows Central, at about 5pm on Tuesday, with the conflict being captured from within an onlookers’ car.

The horrific footage shows two individuals, one wearing a balaclava, slashing at each other with machetes

As one of the individuals is dragged to the ground, three other males entered into the fray before the two groups separated.

One of the males was injured in the clash and later taken to hospital.

Victoria Police said they were investigating the brawl but no arrests had yet been made.
