According to a NOAA release, Greater Amberjack fishing in federal waters will end on Sept. 27 at 12:01 a.m.
Data from the 2024-2025 season shows that 882,451 pounds of the species were caught and harvested. This is 478,451 pounds more than the catch limit of 404,000 pounds.
