A California-based Indian man allegedly stabbed a man to death after finding his name on a public sex offender registry, according to court documents. The police have identified the accused as Varun Suresh (29) and the victim as David Brimmer (71).
The incident took place at the residence of the victim in Fremont city, the Independent newspaper reported.
Police were called to the crime scene, where Brenner, who was listed on California's Megan's Law website as a sex offender and had spent nine years in jail for abusing a child, was found dead, while Suresh was taken into custody.
The accused, who was charged with murder on Monday, told police during questioning that all sex offenders "deserved to die" and wanted to kill one for a very long time, as per court documents.
