Jay Slater's mum, Debbie Duncan, shared an emotional please during her interview on BBC Breakfast this morning (September 25).

She said her family has been inundated with online abuse and misinformation after Jay disappeared in Tenerife in June 2024.

His disappearance led to a month-long search until the 19-year-old's body was found in a national park on the island.

It was determined that he had died after a fall, but misinformation surrounding his disappearance and death continued to circle.

Debbie admitted she "didn't know what to beleive," and said that "it was just unbeleivable."

Speaking to BBC hosts Ben Thompson and Sarah Campbell, Debbie added: "I think I just had a breakdown."
