UNION, N.J. (PIX11) — Exclusive new polling shows the race to be New Jersey's next governor could not be closer.

The poll from PIX11, Emerson College and The Hill shows Democrat Mikie Sherrill and Republican Jack Ciattarelli effectively tied, with each getting the support of 43% of likely voters surveyed.

Eleven percent of respondents said they were undecided.

The candidates are separated by just 0.4%, a difference of four voters in the survey. Congresswoman Sherrill is at 43.3%, and former Republican State Assemblyman Ciattarelli is at 42.9%.

Polling revealed Sherrill doing better with younger voters and women. Ciattarelli is the favorite of men and those over the age of 50.
