HOBOKEN, N.J. (PIX11) – Two sisters gave birth just 45 minutes apart at the same Hoboken hospital.

Suilan Datt gave birth to her third son, Noah, at 9:25 a.m. on Wednesday, one week past his due date. Then, her sister Shenti Datt gave birth to her sixth child Raph at 10:16 a.m. Wednesday, a few days early.

Both baby boys are “healthy and strong,” according to a statement from Hudson Regional Health, which oversees the hospital where the boys were born.

Staff at Hudson University Hospital said the “joy in the rooms was unforgettable."

Sometimes the miracle of life takes on a little extra whimsy. Earlier this year, a woman gave birth on a New York City subway with the help of good Samaritans. In 2021, two sets of triplets were born on the same day in the same New York City hospital.
