“Catfish: The TV Show,” the hit MTV reality show that tackled the challenges of online dating, is ending after nine seasons.

Host Nev Schulman and former host Max Joseph, made an announcement about the show’s cancelation in an Instagram video posted Monday, Sept. 22.

“Hey guys! So, that’s a wrap on ‘Catfish.’ After 12 years and almost 300 episodes and just a lot of traveling around this incredible country. A lot of phone calls. A lot of Facetimes. A lot of economy flights, a lot of reverse image searches, a lot of Hilton Garden Inns, Catfish has officially been cancelled,” the duo said.

“‘Catfish’ as we know it is over, but what an incredible journey its been.” Shulman continued.
