After what many considered one of the most egregious Emmy snubs of all time, Diego Luna will have a chance at a different type of Awards gold early next year. Luna is due to star opposite Tonatiuh and Jennifer Lopez in Kiss of the Spider Woman , the political/prison drama that’s coming to theaters on October 10. News broke yesterday evening that Lionsgate is already planning an Oscars campaign for Luna and both co-stars, Lopez and Tonatiuh, for their respective performances in Kiss of a Spider Woman . The film was written and directed by Bill Condon , and it’s both a remake of the 1985 film of the same name and an adaptation of Manuel Puig ’s novel.
