WICKENBURG, AZ (AZFamily) — An investigation is underway after a plane went down northwest of the Valley early Thursday morning.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), an Alpha Trainer crashed south of Wickenburg Municipal Airport around 6:45 a.m. Two people were on board, but their conditions are unknown at this time.

An Alpha Trainer is a small two-seat aircraft, sometimes used for flight training.

FAA officials are working to determine what caused the plane to crash.

Arizona’s Family has also reached out to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) for more information.
