DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - One man is behind bars after shooting at a person inside a car and also hitting squad cars.
Duluth police responded to a report of a shooting near North 57th Avenue West and Grand Avenue at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Officials say 36-year-old Demetrius Norwood went to that address, fired at a person inside a car, and then fled the scene in his car.
Norwood and the person shot at are known to each other. The person in the car wasn’t injured.
Once officers arrived at the scene, Norwood returned and then rammed into two squad cars with his car.
DPD said one squad car had a K9 inside. No officers or the K9 were injured during the crash.
