DULUTH — A man was arrested after shooting at an occupied vehicle in West Duluth late Wednesday night, police said.

The Duluth Police Department was called to the 500 block of North 57th Avenue West around 11:15 p.m. It was reported that a 36-year-old man went to the address, fired his gun at a known person and then fled the scene.

The intended victim was not injured, police said.

When officers arrived, the suspect allegedly rammed two squad cars with his vehicle. No injuries were reported to the officers or a K-9 in one of the squads.

The suspect has an extensive criminal record with several prior assault convictions. He was booked at the St. Louis County Jail on a number of preliminary charges, including second-degree assault, reckless discharge of a firearm and felon in possession o
