A mum has recalled her 'nightmare' before Christmas as she issued a warning to other parents.

Gem shared her 'cautionary tale' on TikTok, using her @the_organised_mum account.

Like many parents, she'd tried to spread the cost of the festive season by purchasing gifts months in advance.

But a failure to do one thing almost ruined the big day, the Mirror reports.
