CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — The Clarksburg Water Board approved a rate increase during a meeting Wednesday, which will cause an about 9% increase on customer bills.
The minimum bill goes up by a few dollars a month for residential customers. According to the water board, the change could be reflected on customers' bills as soon as Nov. 10. The last time the Clarksburg Water Board approved a rate increase was in 2022.
During a meeting on Tuesday, Clarksburg Water Board General Manager Jason Myers told 12 News that the increase is not related to the ongoing water line replacement project happening throughout the city.
