A Delta flight from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport to Las Vegas aborted its takeoff Wednesday due to an open window.
Delta told Bring Me The News that the incident involved flight 2261 from MSP, which aborted its take off "upon initial acceleration at low speed" after the flight crew became "aware of an open window in the flight deck."
The Boeing 737-900 was carrying 149 passengers and six crew members.
The plane returned to the gate "safely and uneventfully" and is now being evaluated by the Delta maintenance team.
"As the safety of our customers and people is paramount, the flight crew followed training to safely suspend takeoff following a mechanical issue in the flight deck," a Delta spokesperson said.
Passengers were "re-accommodated on a new aircraft" leaving Thursda
