EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - An attempted murder suspect was arrested on Sept. 12 in El Paso County.

According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO), deputies received an alert at 5:58 p.m. from the FLOCK Safety camera system regarding a black Toyota Prius tied to a felony warrant.

The vehicle was associated with Michael McGinnis, 41, and was traveling near Highway 85 and Main Street.

Fountain police officers found the suspect vehicle in the Walmart parking lot and conducted a non-contact block. McGinnis complied with commands and was safely arrested without incident, deputies said.

After the arrest, deputies coordinated with the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) and transferred McGinnis into their custody.
