GRAND MESA, Colo. (KKCO) - Two local men are responsible for assisting firefighters in putting out a newly developed fire on the Grand Mesa.
Monday, September 22, was a normal day for Anthony Adams and his partner, Aidan, who were on their way to a plumbing job in Collbran, before seeing smoke on the horizon.
“We saw the flames and stuff, and there was only just one CDOT worker there. No fire trucks or anything were there,” said Adams. “So me and Aidan decided to pull over and see if our little fire extinguisher could put out the fire.”
Adams and Aidan are employees of Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and have no firefighting experience. However, that didn’t stop them from jumping into action.
