At 11:39 a.m. on Thursday, the National Weather Service issued a tornado warning in effect until 12:15 p.m. for Wayne County.

"At 11:39 a.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Damascus, or 12 miles northeast of Honesdale, moving northeast at 35 mph," says the weather service. "Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely."

Be aware that the tornado may impact the following locations:

Callicoon, Hortonville, and Fosterdale around 11:45 a.m.

Jeffersonville around 11:50 a.m.

White Sulphur Springs around noon.
