Rescue crews searching Tennessee River after reports somebody jumped off Market St. bridge

Emergency crews are working to confirm reports of a person who jumped off the Market Street Bridge into the Tennessee River Thursday afternoon.

Hamilton County EMS, Chattanooga police, and Chattanooga firefighters are on the scene as first responders search the water.

HCEMS stated people should avoid the area and follow directions from first responders.
