LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A couple of showers and storms linger across the region this evening but this action becomes more isolated into Friday.

Skies become partly sunny for many with temps reaching the 70s as we hit the last weekend of September.

The rest of the weekend will find more sun than anything else in our region, but there’s the chance for a shower or storm lingering in the southeast. Highs are back into the 70s.

A little moisture increases against the grain from east to west early next week. That could mean a few showers get in here, especially if a tropical system pushes inland across the Carolinas.
