LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - It’s a Halloween staple in Lexington where hundreds of ghouls and zombies participate in a flash mob-style dance.

The iconic Thriller dance reenactment is always a sight to see.

“The zombies are coming back to haunt main street very soon,” said Jessica Shaw with Lexington Parks and Recreation.

It’s a decades-old tradition in Lexington for zombies to join Michael and Ola for what’s dubbed a Halloween anthem.

Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ is known for its eerie sound effects, dark creatures, and, of course, the famous dance routine.

“Don’t be one of the bystanders that’s like ‘ugh I should have learned this dance,’” said Shaw. “Now is your time to get on board and come down and learn.”

Shaw participated in it for seven years in a row.
