NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Officials with the city of North Little Rock said they will be participating in the National Night Out.

The National Night Out is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 7. Intended as a community-building event, cities across the country participate in creating police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.

North Little Rock officials said cookouts, block parties, and ice cream socials are planned to take place simultaneously in participating neighborhoods. Neighborhood organizations have also organized events that they will host, officials said.

Officials released a list of the neighborhoods and organizations with planned events.
