GRAND CANYON, Ariz. (ABC4) — Parts of the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, which was heavily impacted by the Dragon Bravo Fire, will be reopening on Oct. 1.

According to a press release from the Grand Canyon National Park, during July 2025, the Dragon Bravo Fire destroyed or severely damaged 106 structures on the North Rim, including the historic Grand Canyon Lodge, the North Rim Visitor Center, and guest cabins.

The North Rim's water pipeline, electrical utilities, and wastewater treatment plant also sustained severe damage.

On Oct. 1, Grand Canyon National Park will be reopening Highway 67 to the W1 road and the Cape Royal Road, which provide access to Point Imperial and Cape Royal. Other areas that will reopen to public access are Fire Point and Swamp Ridge, which will be open from sun
