An annual license plate event returned to Erie Thursday evening, but you had to act fast!

Residents could bring any vehicle with an old, weathered and damaged license plate to the old K-Mart plaza located at the intersection of West 26th Street and Sterrettania Road.

The event and replacement process is free; however, there is a cost for replacing a damaged plate with a personalized plate.

To help reduce wait time at future events, residents can download and fill out an MV-46 form before arriving.
