PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Ty Sage, who is accused of committing a murder, was re-arrested on Thursday after previously being "erroneously released" from the Multnomah County Detention Center earlier this week, authorities said.
Multnomah County Sheriff Nicole Morrisey O'Donnell said her office completed the arrest with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force around 1 p.m. at a gas station off of Highway 101 in Florence, Oregon.
“Ty Sage should never have been able to post bail,” said Morrisey O’Donnell in a statement. “To the family of Lowgunn Ivey, the young man killed, I want to acknowledge the fear and trauma that this mistaken release has caused.”
