JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Cambria County school district has responded to a lawsuit filed against them for their alleged inaction in preventing a teacher-student relationship.

A former student of Cambria Heights School District sued the district in June, claiming the district knew a teacher was in a sexual relationship with her when she attended the school. In their 26-page response to the lawsuit filed Wednesday, the school denies all allegations, but maintain that if any of the allegations are true, the teacher allegedly responsible should be the only one to pay.

In 2024, Isaac Vescovi, a math teacher at the high school, was arrested under allegations he had a sexual relationship with a student in the school. He later pleaded guilty to those charges.
