SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - A Northwest Iowa man was sentenced to federal prison for multiple charges connected to drugs.
On Wednesday, Sept. 24, 56-year-old Freddie Summerville of Sioux City was sentenced to more than 28 years in federal prison, after pleading guilty on Tuesday, March 11, to two charges. They were one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl and one count of possession of a firearm during and in furtherance of drug trafficking.
Officials say evidence presented during the trial showed, “Summerville was part of a conspiracy based in Mexico and California that was responsible for distributing approximately 100 pounds of methamphetamine and at least a pound of fentanyl in the Sioux City area.”
