HARTFORD, Conn. —

If you’re living in Hartford or just visiting, there’s a good chance you’ll come across sculptures, murals and other artistry that make up the public art scene downtown.

Hartford’s art culture has inspired a local organization to create a way to learn about the history of every individual piece right from your phone. This new mobile experience is called the Hartford Art Tour.

"Hartford has a long history of art of all kinds,” said Taneisha Duggan, director of the Hartford Office of Arts and Culture. “Literature, monuments that tell the story of our history, to the newest outburst cropping of murals, it’s rooted in who we are and how we tell the story of the city.”
