SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - High pressure has arrived in the ArkLaTex and will stick around for at least the next week bringing a quiet stretch of weather.

Other than a few passing clouds, tonight looks nice and cool across the region with overnight lows falling into the low 60s for many. Locations north of the I-30 corridor will likely see upper 50s by early Friday morning.

From Friday through the weekend, the weather looks gorgeous with highs each day in the upper 80s and lows in the upper 50s and low 60s. Humidity will continue to drop making for ideal conditions to be outside.

Temperatures return to the low 90s by next week but the humidity will stay low so it will remain fairly pleasant. It will also stay very quiet with no rain in sight through the end of next week.
