OAKRIDGE, Ore. - Crews with the Emigrant Fire are actively working on suppression repair efforts following a cold front that moved in overnight, bringing slightly cooler temperatures to the region, according to fire management officials.
Authorities said that smoke may continue to be visible as pockets of vegetation inside the containment lines continue to burn. Firefighters in Division A/P are focusing on cleaning up gravel and woody debris from roadside ditches, with this work expected to be completed in four to five days. Division D is nearing completion of its suppression repair efforts as crews remove activity-generated fuels from roadsides to prevent potential flooding. In Division F, despite warm and dry conditions, the fire has not shown growth along the ridge above Forest Service
