B.C.’s mayors are reacting to the public safety minister’s comments that street disorder is improving, with some even saying it’s getting worse in their community.
Street safety is a hot topic for politicians at the annual Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM) convention taking place in Victoria this week.
On Wednesday, mayors from across the province rallied at the BC Legislature, calling on the province and federal government to help with street disorder.
In terms of public disorder, crime, and violence, Michelle Staples, mayor of Duncan says the situation is not improving.
